U.S. Ambassador Promotes Clean Energy and Climate Action During Lahore Visit

U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome visited Lahore to reaffirm the U.S. government’s commitment to climate change and clean energy as part of the U.S.-Pakistan Green Alliance initiative. Along with U.S. Consul General in Lahore, Kristin Hawkins, Ambassador Blome emphasized the alliance’s focus on tackling challenges like climate change, food security, and energy transformation.

The visit included a tour of Zyp Technologies, a startup producing electric motorcycles aimed at reducing carbon emissions and air pollution. The U.S. government has financially supported Zyp Technologies, which is a major player in Pakistan’s clean energy transition.

Ambassador Blome also visited Agrilift AI Private Limited, a company that uses precision farming technology to enhance agricultural productivity while preserving natural resources like water and soil. The U.S. has backed Agrilift’s efforts in improving crop yields, promoting sustainability, and supporting food security in Pakistan.

Ambassador Blome highlighted the Green Alliance‘s efforts to foster innovation and create a sustainable future through partnerships. This alliance aims to address global climate challenges by encouraging technological advancements and improving agricultural practices in Pakistan.
