Qatar Emiri Naval Ship Alkhor Visits Karachi for Bilateral Exercise

Qatar Emiri Naval Ship (QENS) Al Khor arrived in Karachi, where it was warmly received by officers and sailors of the Pakistan Navy.

Qatar Emiri Naval Ship (QENS) Al Khor arrived in Karachi this week to participate in the bilateral naval exercise Asad Al Bahr with the Pakistan Navy. This visit marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time in 36 years that a Qatari naval vessel has visited Pakistan.

The Pakistan Navy warmly welcomed the crew of Al Khor upon their arrival, emphasizing the strong ties between the two nations. During their stay, the Qatari crew will engage in joint exercises aimed at enhancing maritime security, tactical operations, and counter-terrorism capabilities. The exercise is designed to improve cooperation and interoperability between the two navies.

As part of the visit, the commanding officer of Al Khor paid respects at the mausoleum of Pakistan’s founding father, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and held meetings with high-ranking Pakistan Navy officials. The discussions centered around mutual interests and strategies to strengthen regional stability through enhanced naval cooperation.

This visit symbolizes the deepening of Qatar-Pakistan relations, particularly in maritime security, and reflects both nations’ commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.
