Pakistan Pledges Justice for Attack on Chinese in Karachi

Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the Chinese and Pakistani victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has condemned the terrorist attack on Chinese that occurred near Karachi airport, claiming the lives of two Chinese engineers and injuring another. The attack, which targeted Chinese nationals working in the country, has been labeled as a cowardly act aimed at destabilizing the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China.

In a press release, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch expressed the government’s deepest condolences to the victims’ families. She reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring justice is served by apprehending the perpetrators, including the Majeed Brigade, a known terrorist group responsible for such attacks.

Pakistan’s security agencies are actively working to bring all those involved, including facilitators, to justice. Baloch emphasized that this incident would not weaken Pakistan-China relations, which she described as a bond of “mutual respect and shared destiny”. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely coordinating with the Chinese Embassy to provide any necessary support and ensure the safety of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions across the country.
